Who We Are

The Silicon Valley/South Bay Saves Initiative is a community collaborative that seeks to empower all our residents with the belief and education regarding the need and value of saving and building wealth. It is a local social marketing initiative designed to help individuals and families save and build wealth through free services. Silicon Valley Saves builds self-sufficiency, reduces dependency on community resources, reverses the trend of high credit debt, and empowers our members to reach their financial goals through healthy money management.

We provide financial education, wealth coaching, and free savings products to all residents, particularly low to moderate income households and youth, through partnerships with community development organizations, financial institutions and financial counseling services, government, and employers.

Silicon Valley/ South Bay Saves is affiliated with the America Saves program, which began as a collaboration between the Consumer Federation of America and The Ford Foundation. America Saves was created to address the decline of U.S. savings, and to promote asset development and wealth-building among financially vulnerable individuals and families.
