What We Do

Since the end of 2003, Silicon Valley/ South Bay Saves has been working to build the infrastructure necessary to get our message of building wealth, and not debt, to residents in the South Bay and Silicon Valley. Since that time, over 100 Motivational and Wealth Coach volunteers have been recruited, and motivational workshops have begun. On April 12, 2004 we had our first launch in Gilroy, CA with the Mayor of Gilroy.

Since that time we have continued to hold workshops throughout Silicon Valley/South Bay, the classes have been held at Schools, Faith Based Organizations, Emergency Housing Consortium to name a few. We have participated in Job Fairs for Youth, Chamber of Commerce Business Expositions and Vietnamese and Spanish Resource Fairs. We continue to train Wealth Coaches and Motivational Speakers in order to cover the diverse community that surrounds Silicon Valley. We also continue to seek funds for our ongoing program as it continues to grow. We are very proud of the response from the community as we have been asked from each workshop to come back and do another one. We have incorporated financial literacy education into our Saves Workshops to include budgeting, managing your finances, remedial counseling.  When needed, we refer our Savers to our Partners for further assistance.
